1. May I use my laptop to do the eye-tracker experiment?
Basically, we recommend the software runs on Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Xp. For the reason that the new laptops are equipped with the high resolution and wide screen. It will causes the failure of nine-points calibration. Participants can not see all of points displayed on the screen.
As the result, whether the software can be run on your device or not, it need to be test by the nine-points calibration.
2. When I design stimulus, what is the size of them?
The resolution of the material depends on the resolution of the screen. For the reason why we set the same resolution is to ensure the less distortion when the materials are displayed in the full screen.
3. What is the meaning of the parameter "offset tolerance" ?
"Offset tolerance" and "Threshold of fixation" are two vital parameters for the fixation definition.
When we gaze at a point, we will not gaze at the same point all the time. Hence, we design this function to tell the system under a range of pixes will be consider as the same point. This is the "Offset tolerance".
